How can I help?

PRAY

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

- John 15:5 ESV

The work that Re-Vision does is extraordinarily rewarding, but it also often very challenging.  The need we address is enormous. The Bible reminds us in Mark 14:7 that the poor would always be with us. We need God's wisdom as to whom, as to how, as to when, and as to if we are to serve a particular community.  We need strength to "run and not grow weary." The work and work environment can be exhausting. We need resources to accomplish the work - to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, visit the sick, go to the imprisoned. We need prayer! As you see above, prayer is a central and essential part of our ministry. Total reliance on God inspires that. One key way you can support Re-Vision is through your prayers.

We'd ask you to pray for us regularly. If you'd be willing to be a part of our prayer support team, you can sign up to receive prayer request emails using the form below.  We'd also like to pray for you. If you have prayer needs you'd like to share with us, email contact@fortheleast.com.

GO

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

- Matthew 28:19-20 ESV

Trip Opportunities

Re-Vision provides different mission trip experiences to first meet the needs of our partner communities, but also to consider the gifts, passions, and limitations of the mission team.

Our trips include...

  • Vision Trips designed to give decision makers and donors an opportunity to see and evaluate Re-Vision's work in the DR to decide whether to become a ministry partner.

  • Team Trips that may include a variety of activities: construction, children's ministry, women's ministry, men's ministry, sports ministry, evangelistic ministry, discipleship ministry, leadership training, and more.

  • Specialty Trips like medical or dental teams, senior adult teams, Christmas teams, child sponsor teams, etc..

Though we occasionally facilitate smaller teams, our goal is to have teams of 20 or more.  Individuals and smaller groups are welcome to join with an established team to be able to participate.

For more information about trip possibilities, visit our events page.

Staff and Operations

Nothing happens with Re-Vision without the incredible team we have developed and without the resources required to do their work. You may give one-time gifts or schedule regular support. That support may be undesignated or be attached to a specific staffer or resource.

Projects and Events

Re-Vision regularly partners with communities in construction projects (e.g. churches, vocational training centers, child development centers, homes and home improvements, greenhouses, etc.). We also host special events like leadership conferences, evangelistic and discipleship events, and more.

Major Purchases

To expand their reach and effectiveness, Re-Vision has hopes of securing some key capital resources. Mobile medical vehicles could substantially increase and improve the quality and volume of service possible. We are currently in need of two vehicles for transportation of supplies and missionaries.

Re-Vision is a well kept secret for way too many.  It's not unusual to hear those who've been to the Dominican Republic with Re-Vision to say things like  "I've been on mission trips before, but Re-Vision trips are different," or "I can't wait to get back to the DR," or "My Re-Vision trip was life-changing."  There are many reasons why Re-Vision trips are different, but one of the key qualities that make them special is our commitment to long-term partnerships.  Because we go back to the same communities over and over again, we are able to accomplish ministry and build relationships that brings transformation in both the lives of those in the Dominican Republic and in the lives of mission trip participants.

Another way you can help us, is to SHARE your experiences with Re-Vision.  Tell family, friends, and co-workers about your experiences on the missions field; tell them verbally or share through your social media outlets.  Encourage others to on a trip with you or to talk to their churches about taking a team.  Invite them to make financial contributions to Re-Vision so that the work can continue to bring "re-visions” to those fighting poverty in the Dominican Republic.

Start today by liking and/or following Re-Vision on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.  Start today by emailing friends with a link to our website and words of encourage to explore it.  Email us with your own Re-Vision story and give us permission to share it.  This is a secret we want you to tell.
